Overview

As expected, we are witnessing the euphoria of the Bohemian Rhapsody film that tells the journey story of QUEEN directed by Bryan Singer, written by Anthony McCarten with producer Graham King and former QUEEN Manager Jim Beach with Rami Malek who plays Freddy Mercury.

Aside from the fact that QUEEN is a phenomenal rock band, the songs are also very famous and imprinted in the public's hearts, not only to rock music fans but fans of other musical genres. This may be due to QUEEN's music, even though rock, but with a touch of classical and pop appeal to diverse fans, both the young and old generations, not only from rock circles but also from various genres.

QUEEN is a British rock band formed in London in 1970 comprising Freddie Mercury (lead singer and piano), Brian May (lead guitar and vocal), Roger Taylor (drums and vocal), and John Deacon (bass guitar). Their early works were influenced by rock, hard rock and heavy metal but after a long time they began to produce works that were more conventional and radio-friendly.

In their 1977 "News of The World" album, they recorded "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" which later became anthems at sports events. Their performance in 1985 at the Live Aid concert was mentioned as one of the best live performances in the history of rock music by various music media. The final concert of the QUEEN with its complete formation was held in England in August 1986. In  1991, Freddie Mercury died of broncho-pneumonia which was a complication of AIDS, while Deacon retired in 1997. Since then, May and Taylor have appeared with the name QUEEN with Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert as singers on their subsequent tours. The lyrics of the song "We Are the Champions" are simple but very inspiring in fostering enthusiasm for not giving up until the end of the period that reads ...:

"We are the champions, my friends.. And we'll keep on fighting 'till the end.
We are the champions...
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause We are the champions of the world..."

The Jakarta Concert Orchestra is using it as a concert title in early 2019, when it returns with the award-winning Choirs': Batavia Madrigal Singers & The Resonanz Children's Choir, with guest stars Farman Purnama, Fitri Muliati, Husein Idol, Lisa Depe, Michelle Siswanto (violin) and Elwin Hendrijanto (piano). They will perform under conductor leader Avip Priatna to bring a series of songs from this worldwide British rock band, extending the opportunity to nostalgic music lovers in the country. This will be held on Saturday, January 19th , 2019 at Ciputra Artpreneur, Jakarta.

This is a show that should not be missed, as a driving force in early 2019 for greater achievements for all, 'Cause "we are the champions of the world"!
