"PARA PENSIUNAN" is a theater performance presented by Teater Gandrik Yogyakarta, in collaboration with Taman Budaya Yogyakarta and Ciputra Artpreneur. "PARA PENSIUNAN" is written by Agus Noor and directed by Djaduk Ferianto.

This theater performance is about retired generals, politicians, judges, and others who want to enjoy their retirement, peacefully. This requires them to obtain a certificate that declares that the person would never involve in corruption. This story is staged with the aim of deterring corruptors. Various methods are used to get that certificate, from persuasion, to bribery. This worries the retirees who want to prove that they would never be corrupt in order to get the certificate, so later they could be buried properly. But is it true that they have never been corrupted as long as they are Generals, Politicians, Civil Servants and others?

Teater Gandrik Yogyakarta has always been active in being part of developing national culture through their performances. The performances of Teater Gandrik are often presented by using "parikena jokes", subtly insinuated and even such taunting themselves, although they have insulted the Generals, Politicians, Civil Servants and others. That is the way of Teater Gandrik in their "social criticism" against the New Order's camouflage, which seems mannered and smooth, but in actual fact, manipulative and repressive.
